Last October 19-20, 2018, the La Union Ignite (a mission movement composed of local pastors and ministry leaders) in partnership with LSA conducts the first Ignite Youth Missions Conference with the theme: Waking the Giant. The conference was held to ignite and inspire the younger generation to take part in God’s mission to “go and make disciples of all nations”.

It was widely attended by the youth and pastors of different local churches from different denominations. Seventeen (17) out of nineteen (19) municipalities plus 1 city of La Union were represented. Speakers from different Missions Organizations (local and International) like Kairos Asia, Pioneers Philippines Foundation, Inc, OMF International, Translators Association of the Philippines, Inc (TAP), Life Solutions in Abundance International Inc (LSA), Alpha Philippines, WIRED GATHERING Youth Movement, Metanoia, Summer Institutes of Linguistics-Philippines (SIL), Accelerated International Mission Strategies (AIMS) were invited to speak and give the youth a glimpse into mission life.

Opening Night Speaker, Pastor Terry Roberts

Pastor Terry Roberts, Senior Pastor of Faith Christian Family Church, Warrenton, Mo, USA and Vice President of AIMS, set the atmosphere with his opening message on “Engaging While You Are Young”. This message encouraged young people to participate in Jesus’ mission while they are in the process of thinking about what course they will choose as their life focus.
