Testimonies are coming in as Life Solutions in Abundance continues its conquest to mobilize Filipino churches, leaders and members into Great Commission work. One such person whose life and ministry is being transformed with a burning compassion for the lost, especially among people groups who have limited or no access to the gospel, is Pastor Gilbert dela Pacion. Recently, I was able to interview him for this edition of The Witness. What is happening through him and his church, is what we pursue every day, believing God to work in the lives of many local Filipino pastors.
Pastor Gilbert’s Story
I grew up with my three brothers in a small village in the Philippines. We were like most village children who freely ran about playing with our friends. However, during my high school years, I was influenced by bad friends and became a drug user. Thankfully, before my graduation, a friend invited me to attend a church youth camp where I received Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. It was there I decided to follow the Lord.
After high school graduation, I attended three (3) years of bible school. The next six months I attended a mission motivator’s school. It was during this time that my “heart was broken” with a passion to reach the lost and I recognized the calling of God on my life for missions. After this experience, I became very busy planting a church. Soon the fire of passion for the lost became no more than a tiny flicker because of doing many things, but not the right things to advance the Kingdom of God. When a friend of mine connected me to the LSA to do a movie evangelism evening in our outreach in another barangay, things began to change.

Many souls, especially young people, received the salvation that evening. People were added to Jesus Loves Church that was still in the early stages of being planted. It was exciting to see the church begin to grow, although it was not yet focused on missions.

When Sis Anne came to bring the Word of God to Jesus Loves Church in January 2017, my eyes were opened and passion for the lost was reignited. I started refocusing the activities of the church on making disciples and great commission work. Then I became a member of the LSA team that was going to unreached people groups on our island.

Helping the LSA team conduct HARVEST CONNECTION seminars to mobilize churches into Great Commission work greatly encouraged me to pursue Great Commission work myself. The Jesus Loves Church and I became active in making disciples and reaching the unreached.
Jesus Loves Church is totally different than it was five (5) years ago. Back then, I did the ministry alone and I focused on the people at the four corners of our church building. Now I have a thriving team of people who are working with me to do Great Commission work. During July alone, four (4) people from the church finished three (3) months of discipleship training.
We have identified
sixteen (16) people who are ready to go whenever and wherever God sends them. We have also identified eight
(8)
people
who are
committed
to
support
them financially
through their
businesses and jobs.

The Beginning of Great Work from the Jesus Loves Church
This is a real unfolding story of a small church in
the
Philippines who has been transformed into a mission church because of a pastor who has a burning passion to reach the unreached, here
and
abroad. Please pray for Jesus Loves Church, Pastor Gilbert, his family, and the LSA team as we continue to partner in the greatest work of all; winning those who have never heard.
You can actively partner with us through your prayers and financial support. You can contact us through the information at the end of this edition of The Witness.
May God
bless you
as you reach out toward the finish
line
as stated in Matthew 24:14: “ This gospel of the Kingdom must be proclaimed (preached) to the whole world as a testimony to all
nations, and then the end will come.”
