It is a joy to see more Pastors in La Union being ignited to mobilize churches to actively respond to our calling to go and make disciples. For the past year, LSA has been constantly educating pastors about the Unreached People Groups (UPGs) in the Philippines and the role of the body of Christ in reaching out to these people groups. I believe that LSA’s role is to mobilize and connect local missionaries to a UPG.

Now, many Pastors are showing their interest to partner and go with the LSA team to work with local pastors in Abra Province. It’s been a year since we were praying for the Itneg tribe in Abra, specifically the Itneg, Binongan and Itneg, Banaos who are minimally reached.

Last month, LSA team conducted a Harvest Connection Seminar in Bucay, Abra for the purpose of training local pastors in the Great Commission work. This time another pastor joined the LSA team, Pastor Carlos Sison from a

local church in San Fernando City, La Union. It is one of our mission to mobilize Pastors in Abra and encourage them to disciple people until they reach the minimally reached groups in their area.

During the seminar, sister Anne led the teaching. Pastor Gilbert, Pastora, Edna and Pastor Carlos facilitated the small group discussions. The pastors who attended were so blessed by the testimonies from the three pastors. Since they started to disciple people in their churches, they were able to go out without worrying, because their disciples do what they do as if they were there.

The participants were so blessed with the seminar that they requested another Harvest Connection Seminar, so the key leaders in their churches will catch the vision and together run with it.

The next Harvest Connection Seminar was scheduled for February 27 & 28, but now they have asked to come on February 11 and 12 so that all their leaders will be motivated during the February 27 & 28 training session.

Please pray for us as the mission movement develops in Abra Province, the
Philippines.
